Moira Demesne

Moira Demesne is located in the picturesque village of Moira. It’s situated off the Main Street and is a popular landmark, providing a quiet escape from the busy village. The Park is comprised of over 40 acres of parkland and offers areas of amenity grassland. Additionally it incorporates beautiful walkways and picnic sites for everyone to enjoy the great outdoors. Furthermore, the park will be used for the fantastic Moira Calling Festival this year.

Moat Park

Situated in the heart of Dundonald, the Moat Park offers idyllic walks around the historic Motte. Also, it provides a valuable link to shops in the village.  Close by stands the Church of St Elizabeth. This striking church dates from 1306, providing an interesting piece of history during your walk.

Wallace Park

Wallace Park is ideal for families. Located in the heart of Lisburn, the park features an excellent children’s play area and a variety of gentle walks. It takes its name from Sir Richard Wallace who left many legacies to the City. Furthermore, the sprawling grounds are perfect for the sunny weather!

Castle Gardens

Castle Gardens is the most historically significant open space in Lisburn and was once the site of Lisburn Castle. This 17th century fortified manor house was built by the Conway family, the landlords of Lisburn. Upon the death of the last landlord, Sir Richard Wallace, and later his wife, Lady Wallace, the Gardens were gifted to the people of Lisburn by Lady Wallace’s heir, Sir John Murray Scott in 1903.

Lagan Tow Path

The Lagan Valley Tow Path provides an excellent walk full of wildlife and wonder all the way to Belfast! Most noteworthy, the route is 11 miles long with soft surfaced paths away from busy roads. As a result, families and athletes alike can exercise for hours, utilising the many varied locations linked along the way.
