The Crafty Hound is a family run gastropub and coffee house. Previously named Robbie Cahoon's, the bar dates back to 1912 and was famous for it's greyhound racecourse. Since changing hands, the pub has modernised it's look, though conversely remains true to it's predecessors local folklore.

From outside The Speckled Hen seems quite petite. On internal inspection the Pub boasts a traditional public bar with an inviting fireplace. The original pub dates back to at least 1660. A wide selection of over seventy draught and bottled beers along with over thirty bottled ciders are served. In addition the dining room is warm and homely yet has a very contemporary feel.
