About

Baking is our super power and aprons are our capes!

At The Daily Apron our values are based around ‘cake, kindness and community’. We believe in creating a spirit of connectedness between our team and with our customers. This means a positive energy spills out from the back of house to the restaurant floor where customers experience a sense of community.

With everything made from scratch and a firm commitment to local suppliers, we begin every morning at 5.30am to ensure we are ready with the wide variety of breads, sweet treats and savoury options that fill our menus. From our best selling sausage rolls with our own flaky pastry to the big grilled cheese sandwich selection on Cathy’s crusty sourdough bread, there is so much choice. Did we mention Dolly the trolley? Dolly is our sweet trolley with three layers of all treats deservingly delightful!

We want customers to feel looked after whatever their dietary requirements are so we offer home made gluten free, vegetarian and dairy free choices. We also have a bespoke vegan menu so no one feels left out.

In the current situation, we go beyond the recommendations for hygiene and safety to create a cafe space. Staff change into uniform on arrival once their temperature is taken and put on their visors. They operate in their separate zones assigned daily, we participate in Track and Trace with customers by asking for name and contact number, have strictly 1 metre between tables, a one way system is in place, hostess operated seating and a fogging machine that eliminates COVID-19 is used in addition to our cleaning protocols and finally seals the restaurant at night so it is fully sanitised.

The three pillars of our business have always been; high quality food made from scratch; creating a customer experience based on community and maintaining daily the strictest hygiene and food management standards, which includes a fresh apron every day if not twice a day.
