Bio on Alice McIlhagger, Brambleberry Jams
Bread, jam making and using seasonal produce, much of it grown in the home garden, are in Alice's blood as she grew up helping her grandmother making jams and helping in their garden. She now has her own fruitful garden and bread making is part of her daily routine.
Alice trained and worked as a Geography Teacher before a period in Planning Consultancy. She turned her passion for jam-making from a past-time to a business when her youngest child started nursery and she has gone from strength to strength since, earning Great Taste Awards for her 3 dessert sauces and latterly 2 Stars for Salted Caramel Dessert Sauce in the 2018 Great Taste Awards.
