so much choice you're welcome

  1. Couple looking at the thrones inside Hillsbroough Castle
Hillsborough Castle is one of the most beautiful, and interesting historic properties in Northern Ireland, and the official residence of the Royal Family when they are in Northern Ireland. The glorious gardens, developed from the 1760s onwards, are a joy to explore and include ornamental grounds, peaceful woodland, meandering waterways and picturesque glens. Keep an eye out for specimen trees and rare plants as you explore the grounds. These special gardens are a delight to the senses throughout the seasons and offer countless places to unwind, contemplate, socialise and seek inspiration.

Hillsborough Fort is set in the grounds of Hillsborough Forest Park. The fort was constructed during the 17th century to protect the road leading from Carrickfergus to Dublin. During your visit why not also explore Hillsborough Forest Park which provides walking trails through the forest or around the lake.
