About

In this workshop you will learn how to create and look after different types of pots and planters and includes planting up and taking home your own summer display.

You will learn about the different types of plants to use in summer displays as well as creative planting techniques. You will also learn how to choose the right pots, plants and colour combinations for your garden as well as soil mixes and watering tips to keep your blooms looking fresh.

The workshop is highly interactive with all materials and tools provided. There is no need to bring anything with you as everything will be provided.

Navigation House is a social enterprise operated by multi-award winning charitable organisation Stepping Stones NI. Profits from all of our workshops are reinvested to support people with learning disabilities to develop new skills, qualifications and employment.

The workshop will include a tour of the garden with tea/coffee and traybakes on arrival.

Limited car parking on site. Parking available at the Premier Inn ( overspill car park 2 min walk). Please ensure you arrive on time for a 10am start.

Workshop will be delivered by Ann McCarron, Horticulture & Wellbeing Lead at Navigation House. Ann is an experienced and qualified horticulturist working within the industry for 10+ years with specialisms in community gardening, horticultural therapy, growing cut flowers, herbs, edibles, and delivering accredited horticultural training.
