There will be a huge selection of second-hand books to choose from, with over 3,000 books across a range of categories, including a large selection of children’s titles.
The popular guided Tours of the House and Ulster-New Zealand exhibition will also be available every hour from 12 noon, 1 pm and 2 pm. Numbers are limited and places are on a first come first served basis.
The Tea Barn will be open and serving soup and sandwiches and sweet treats.

All proceeds and donations go to the Ulster New Zealand Trust for upkeep of The Ballance House. The Ballance House is a farmhouse museum and birthplace of John Ballance, New Zealand’s Premier 1891–93. The house is open to the public between April and September on Sundays 2pm – 5pm and bank holidays (excluding 12th July) and can be booked for group visits all year round.
