Royal Hillsborough Twilight Christmas Market & Late Night Shopping

This year to help you celebrate the season, some of the local shops in Royal Hillsborough will be staying open till 9 pm to tie in with the Royal Hillsborough Christmas Market on Friday 10th December.

Once you’ve been to the Christmas Twilight Market, take a stroll down through the high street and discover the independent gift shops, clothing shops, bars, restaurants and pubs that the town has to offer.

Why not browse in klöver which features the work of local artists and makers. You’ll find delightful Christmas decorations from Mount Ida Pottery, plus original print illustrations of Royal Hillsborough from Peter Martin.

Then pop across the road and pick a stunning Christmas wreath or gift from Twigs & Twine.

You can also find hidden gems for your home, clothing and jewellery at Bluebell & Willow and womenswear and statement accessories from Julie Elliott.

The Cheshire Cat is always a treasure trove of goodies with a great selection of traditional toys and pocket money gifts for stockings.

After all that shopping, why not stop by one of Royal Hillsborough’s many acclaimed pubs and restaurants.

Opposite Royal Hillsborough Castle, is The Vintage Rooms. The space combines restaurants, a Gin Bar and a Whiskey Cellar in this incredible social space.

Or further, down the hill, you could pop into Hillsborough’s oldest pub, The Hillside, for a burger and a pint by the fire. Full of rustic charm, they offer a wide selection of ales, beers, stouts, spirits and local craft drinks.

No 13 on the UK’s Top 50 Gastropubs, is The Parson’s Nose with a great menu of pub-grub classics, dry-aged steaks, fish dishes or woodfired sourdough pizza.

If you are in the mood for something more in the line of fine dining then you must not miss the special dining that you will experience in Hara Restaurant (just down the street from Parson’s Nose). Reservations recommended.

Royal Hillsborough provides a complete shopping experience with local cafes, supermarkets, a bakery and chemists, so be sure to stop by after you’ve browsed the market whether you are visiting on Friday evening for the twilight experience or on Saturday for a daytime market experience.

We hope you enjoy all the festive fun at the artisan food and art and crafts market on The Dark Walk and indulge in a bit of late-night shopping and fun in Royal Hillsborough from 3pm-9pm on Friday 10th and 10am-3pm on Saturday 11th December.
