We are thrilled to announce that this month we will be hosting not one, but two farmers' markets in beautiful parks and landmarks in the heart of Lisburn City Centre and Royal Hillsborough village. These markets are an opportunity for visitors to experience the best of locally sourced produce from Northern Ireland.

This year's Lisburn Spring Farmers Market will take place on Saturday 11th March 2023 in Market Square from 11am-3pm.

“After another long and challenging winter for our local producers and artisan traders, the days are finally getting brighter, and spring has almost sprung. We want to celebrate the turn of the season and all it has to offer at this year’s Spring Market Lisburn.” ~Alderman Allan Ewart MBE, Development Committee Chairman.

Supporting Local Producers

This year's market will feature over 30 traders with an exciting range of stalls offering everything from artisanal cheeses and baked goods to skincare and sustainable living products.

Visitors can expect to find a wide range of high-quality Northern Ireland food at the market, including artisan bread and pastries from The Daily Apron, handmade cakes and coffees from Moira residents, Ollies Patisseries and Loki’s Coffee and local cheeses and meat products.

Visitors can expect to find a wide range of high-quality food at the market, including artisan bread and pastries from The Daily Apron, handmade cakes from Rosie McNeill along with local cheeses and meat products.

In addition to food and drink stalls, there will also be a number of craft stalls selling unique handmade gifts such as jewellery, homewares and textiles. Seaside Books will have a curated selection of books from local writers covering children’s books to poetry.

It wouldn’t be spring without spring flowers. Gracehill Flower Farm will be bringing seasonal blooms of daffodils, hyacinths and tulips plus local foliage and rustic floral displays.

Local plantswoman Victoria from Potters Hill Plants will also have a selection of perennial plants grown in their nursery in Hillsborough to help fill in the gaps in your borders. You can also pick up luxury spa products from Wild Shore.

Visitors can browse the stalls at their leisure, sample some delicious treats or take home some locally produced goodies.

One of the key aims of the Lisburn Spring Farmers’ Market is to support local producers by providing them with a platform to showcase their Northern Ireland produce.

Many of the stallholders at the market are family-run businesses that have been operating for years. By buying from these small-scale producers, you are helping to support the local economy but also helping support Northern Irish makers and producers.

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it will also be a great opportunity to purchase a gift or keepsake from one of the artisan makers too!

A great day out for all ages

The Lisburn Spring Farmers’ Market is not just a great place to pick up some delicious food and gifts; it will also be a fun day out for all ages. Children will love exploring the various stalls and sampling some tasty treats.

There will also be live music performances throughout the day from Kyle John Suckling and Ryan Hanna, with face painting, crafts and balloon modelling for children.
