Leading the charge is Michael Duffy of Smokin Yankees, Irish BBQ Champion (and other accolades) on the Big Smoker, with Award-Winning Guest Chef Chris Fearon, Executive Chef to the Deanes Group, Belfast at the demo kitchen. 

There is even a whisper that the Hellbent crew will be in attendance cooking their own brand of Boerewors and handing out samples for you to try (they will be just back from their trip to Bath Rugby with Ulster Rugby). 

BBQing isn't just for summer, learn about the joys of BBQing through the seasons. As we are in the throes of autumn, we will be celebrating the harvest with a feast inspired by the foods and flavours of our native land (let's Taste the Island) and inspired by that great American holiday, Thanksgiving.

On the BBQ: It will be a feast of Great Taste with award-winning meats, including Buchanan’s Bronze Free Range Turkey, Hannan’s Sugar Pit Chops (on the bone), both Great Taste Award-winning products, and Smokin Yankees Sausage, served with seasonal sides (think roasted / BBQ maple roasted parsnips and pumpkin pie). Chef Chris Fearon’s dishes to be announced!

At the demo kitchen: Our Guest Chef, Chris Fearon will be showing culinary tips on a one-to-one, small group basis for things to go with the bbq or for Christmas entertaining.

Set-Up: This will be a BBQ Sunday Social with lots of the elements of a BBQ Masterclass with our BBQ expert, Michael Duffy, The Smokin Yankee, talking all things charcoal, smoke, marinading and cooking slow and low! A social winter BBQ with banter, plentiful food and lots of learnings with one-to-one and small group chats with the BBQ cooks and guest chef as they do their thing. 

As an added bonus if you are interested in finding out more about the type of BBQ you would like - to start off or to upgrade to - you couldn't come to a better place. Whet your appetite and have a sneak peek at what Great Outdoors BBQ has to offer. 

So, come along and enjoy an afternoon of food and banter. Graze your way around as the cooks feed you with food straight from the grill and pick up the plentiful tips to take home which you can put into practice in the kitchen or on the BBQ. 

Dietary requirements can be catered for if prior notice given (5 days before event).

The event is BYO (for a social drink to accompany your food).
