Stall holders and customers on the Dark Walk leading to the fort

About

The popular Royal Hillsborough Farmers Market returns to the historic village for three markets on the last Saturday of May, June and July 2026.  The market is set along The Dark Walk and extending into the grounds of Hillsborough Fort.  It makes a lovely day out, especially when combined with a browse of the eclectic mix of independent shops and eateries in the village.

The market features over 50 stalls of the finest local and seasonal farm-to-market produce and artisan food from across Northern Ireland for you to discover.

Expect to find regeneratively farmed and outdoor reared heritage meats, fruit and vegetables, breads, cakes, Irish cheeses, jams, chutneys and pickles, olives, pestos and tapenades, charcuterie, fresh fish, shellfish and smoked salmon, to locally grown plants and flowers, chocolates, coffee, street food and more besides!

Alongside food producers, the market is boosted by a considered and complimentary selection of local traders from designer craft, art, organic skincare to sustainable living products and more.

Come and browse the stalls, meet with friends and family, enjoy a coffee and bite to eat in this historic setting. Music by local musicians and children’s activities will add to the convivial atmosphere of the market.

Parking: Hillsborough Forest & Ballnahinch Street Pay & Display Car Park
