About

Gather your little witches, wizards and adventurers for a spellbinding Halloween day out at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens this October half term.

Explore 100 acres of enchanting gardens, follow a whimsical Halloween trail to help a crash-landed witch find the perfect broomstick, and discover scarecrows and spooktacular displays along the way.

There's something different to enjoy throughout the week, including a mask-making workshop on 24 and 25 October, where children can get creative decorating their own mask inspired by autumn harvest celebrations, folk tales and carnival traditions. From 26 - 28 October, budding witches and wizards can join a magical Potion Class, while 29–30 October brings Nature Art Workshops and Wild Walks. On 31 October and 01 November, families can step into the world of Irish folklore with performances from the Armagh Rhymers.

Pick your own pumpkin from the Walled Garden pumpkin patch, try classic autumn games, or upgrade your ticket to explore Hillsborough Castle and hear a traditional spooky tale from the resident storyteller.

With activities throughout the half-term break, there's plenty of Halloween magic for the whole family to discover.

Please note that the Halloween Garden Trail is included with garden ticket admission, while pumpkin picking and some workshops require an additional ticket.
