Runners running up the hill with Lady Alice's Temple in the background

Join us for the second Hillsborough Castle and Gardens Running Festival, including family races, a 5k, 10k, and half marathon, brought to you by RunThrough Events.

These road closed races will start and finish within the beautiful grounds of Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, before heading out onto the surrounding rural roads of Hillsborough and taking in historic attractions such as Hillsborough Fort and Hillsborough Lake.

The races will finish with a lap of the gardens before crossing the finish line. Each mile is accurately marked out with distance flags and there will be plenty of marshals to keep you on track. You will be able to get your hands on a well-earned unique themed medal at the finish line.

Every entry will include chip timed results, a unique themed medal, free official event photos and a goodie bag.

Further details can be found by logging onto

Parking for runners is available in our Main Car Park from 7:00am.
