About
See the gardens of Northern Ireland’s royal residence erupt in spectacular colour this spring, as over half a million bulbs bloom.
With more blooms and varieties than ever to enjoy in the 100 acres of grounds, spring is the perfect time to relax with loved ones in the Hillsborough Castle gardens. Daffodils and crocuses mark the emergence of the gardens from winter, handing over to tulips and camassia later in the spring. Included in this are a large selection of rare Northern Irish daffodils.
There are plenty of events on offer throughout the spring, whether you are a gardening guru or just interested in learning something new.
From wreath making and flower arranging to tours from our expert gardeners, join one of our garden workshops and on Saturday 25 March, be dazzled by award-winning displays from the Northern Ireland Daffodil Group in their annual Hillsborough Daffodil Show. Special events will also be taking place on Mothering Sunday and St Patrick’s Day.
Return to see the gardens evolve throughout the spring as different bulbs bloom. Save with membership and enjoy unlimited visits to the magnificent palace all year round.
