Twelfth of July 2025 – Parade Highlights

Celebrating the historic Battle of the Boyne with parades and cultural festivities across Lisburn and Castlereagh. Experience tradition, music, and community spirit.

Lisburn
Date: Saturday, 12th July
Parade Start Time: 11:30 AM
Assembly Point: Wallace Park
Route: Market Square, Hillsborough Road, Knockmore Road to QEII/Ballymacoss Playing Fields (The Brambles)

Field Events:

  • Religious service (1:45 PM)
  • Guest speakers: Emma Little-Pengelly and Wor. Bro. Keith Harbinson
  • Food stalls and family-friendly entertainment

Return Parade: 3:30 PM via Knockmore and Ballinderry Roads

 

Dromara

Date: Saturday, 12th July
Parade Start Time: 12:00 PM
Assembly Point: Banbridge Road
Route: From Banbridge Road to the Demonstration Field on Rathfriland Road (opposite Dromara Football Club)


Field Events:

  • Children’s entertainment
  • Highland dancers (Finnis)
  • Artisan stalls, food and ice cream

Return Parade: Forms at 3:45 PM, departs Demonstration Field at 4:00 PM back to Assembly Point


Dundonald
Date: Saturday, 12th July
Parade Start Time: 12:00 PM
Start & Finish: Dundonald High School (Demonstration Field)
Route:

  • Upper Newtownards Road (country-bound)
  • Robbs Road → Church Road → Grahamsbridge Road
  • Comber Road → Upper Newtownards Road (city-bound from Ruby’s Bar to East Link)

Return Parade: Approximately 4:00 PM

 

This year’s Twelfth promises a memorable day of celebration, reflection, and community spirit. Everyone is welcome to attend and take part in honouring the history and cultural traditions.
