About

See the stunning landscape of Northern Ireland and Taste  local cuisine during a walking  & food experiences with Walk It Off NI.

Learn about the fascinating heritage and rich natural landscape on our doorstep with experienced guide Nikki Elliott, a passionate advocate of the benefits of connecting with nature.

There are several experiences to choose from, one of the most charming options is undoubtedly the Hillsborough Royal Brew Experience. The 5km stroll takes you on a  mindful, guided walk through lush landscape, as well as the picturesque grounds of Royal Hillsborough village — recently issued with the prefix “Royal” in recognition that Hillsborough Castle is the official seat of the British royal family when they stay in Northern Ireland.
Learn all about the beer-brewing history of this village.  At the end of your walk, you’ll arrive at an 18th century Inn which serves the country’s only “Royal” beer. Sample four delicious Irish beers together with some wonderful, paired tapas.

Hidden Huntley Walking and Artisan Food Experience - Walk up an appetite and escape into beautiful landscapes on the periphery of Belfast and Lagan Valley Regional Park.  This unique, small-group walking and artisan food experience guides you on a trip through time, weaving a story of food, forest and family. Breathing in the forest’s aromatic air, you immerse yourself in nature and discover the rich heritage of the area.

At Huntley Estate, a delicious lunch showcasing the seasonal produce, organically grown in the surrounding earth, will be served to you, alfresco in the 200 year old walledprivate garden. After lunch you can explore the garden accompanied by Antonia, the owner, who will share stories and happily answer any questions.

Threads & Breads Walking and Artisan Pinic Expereince Threads & Breads takes you on a stroll through living history, spinning yarns of food and fabric in beautiful, natural landscapes, helping you to understand the heritage and provenance of the delicious picnic that awaits you in Edenderry Mill Village centre.

The guided tour will awaken your senses in nature, teach you about the weaver’s village community culture and traditions. Nikki will show you our giant landscapes, speak about the legends of the ancient Giant’s Ring and of Linenopolis, when Belfast was the centre of Linen Industry at the time of the first world war.

Wonderwalk Sample forest bathing, reclining under the spreading canopy of ancient trees, your feet higher than your heart, in a unique Wonderwalk through the beautiful and inspirational Minnowburn valley.

Pause, breathe in the view and eat a specially-designed NI Picnic Lunch, alfresco, in an Arts and Crafts secret garden.

As you walk through this beautiful space, Nikki  weaves a narrative combining the history, environmental features and the odd random fact. Connecting you with this natural place in the liminal space between ancient and new.
