About
Join us for a magical, family-friendly Christmas walking show in the heart of Lisburn.
What: Mrs Claus’ famous festive recipe has been blown around town! Follow the elves on a fun-filled, interactive walking adventure through Lisburn as they search for the missing ingredients, hidden in some of the city’s favourite local businesses. Expect laughter, storytelling, festive surprises — and maybe even a little treat along the way!
Where: The performance begins at Bow Street Mall and follows the Lisburn Light Trail through the city centre, finishing at Castle Gardens.
When: Shows last around 40 minutes and take place outdoors even if it rains (which it just might) — this is Lisburn, not Lapland, so bring warm coats, comfy shoes, and umbrellas just in case!
Why: It’s a wonderful way to experience the lights, support local businesses, and make magical Christmas memories together. Each child will even get a personal mention from our Nice List book, adding to make the experience extra memorable.
Performances will go ahead in the rain, but if an official weather warning is issued, the show will be postponed (usually to the following Wednesday). If rescheduled dates don’t suit, tickets will be refunded.
Please let us know about any allergies in advance so we can make sure every little helper can safely enjoy their Christmas treat.
Please note that seeing Santa is not part of our show, we will finish at Castle Gardens where you are welcome to join the queue to see Santa (but he will not have been made aware of our nice list and is not linked with the experience)
Starting point: We meet at Bow Street Mall outside the bathrooms where the sculpture of a light up Car is.
On a Saturdays at 6pm we will meet outside the front of Bow Street Mall (on the side by Huxo Cafe and Poundland on Chapel Hill)
We recommend parking in the Bow Street Mall multistorey, nearby street parking, or Antrim Street Car Park. Please check opening times and festive parking rules before you park, as some street parking may be free during the Christmas period.
Accessibility: We want everyone to be able to enjoy the magic of Lisburn’s Christmas Walking Show.
This year, we are delighted to offer two BSL-interpreted performances. Please select these specific dates if anyone in your group requires BSL interpretation. In addition, a BSL interpreter will be present at Castle Gardens on Thursday evenings for families who wish to join the queue to visit Santa after the show - Santa is not affiliated with our show, but is a free experience you can attend.
Our route follows Lisburn’s main city centre pathways, which are fully accessible for prams and wheelchairs. The city is very easy to navigate, with little to no steps along the way.
Please note that this is a walking show, and we have lots of festive fun packed into around 40 minutes. The journey runs from Bow Street Mall to Castle Gardens, with a few short stops along the route. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing warmly for the winter weather so you can fully enjoy the experience.
If you have any access requirements or questions ahead of your visit, please let us know when booking — we’ll do everything we can to make your experience magical and inclusive.
We will be offering a Hot Chocolate and treats as part of the experience, if you have any allergies please do let us know in advance.
Audience numbers are capped at 20 people per show so book early to avoid disappointment.
