The National Balmoral Championships, one of the most prestigious events in the Irish equestrian calendar, return to the Eikon Exhibition Centre from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th July 2025. Set against the backdrop of a world-class venue, the four-day showcase promises elite show jumping action, culminating in the £25,000 Premier Grand Prix on Sunday.
Riders, horses, and spectators alike can look forward to a packed schedule of high-calibre competition, thrilling finals, and the electric atmosphere that has become synonymous with Balmoral.
Event Highlights:
- Thursday opens with the Fraser Homes Ulster Grand Prix Series, including the Agria Championship for 4-Year-Olds, setting the tone for the weekend.
- Friday features the Amateur Cup and the ever-popular National 1.40 Grand Prix, while Arena 2 hosts the Sports Member and Children on Horses Championships.
- Saturday brings focus to the DAFM Studbook Series Qualifiers, laying the groundwork for Sunday’s decisive moments.
- Sunday marks the finals of the DAFM Series, 4-Year-Old and Amateur classes, leading into the headline Premier Grand Prix, where top-tier competitors will vie for the £25,000 prize fund and national prestige.
Entries are now open via SJI Live, with entry numbers capped and Day 1 entries closing on 10th July. Limited stabling and electrical hook-ups are available and can be secured through ItsPlainSailing. Early booking is strongly advised due to high demand.
