About

Ivy cottage is warm, cosy and bright and airy. The well equipped kitchen includes full oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine and dishwasher.

The bedroom includes a comfortable double bed with high quality mattress, wardrobe, luggage stand and chest of drawers. Bed linen, soft fluffy towels and cosy bathrobes are provided. 

The living room has a Samsung television with freeview channels and DVD player and a superb collection of DVDs is available for your enjoyment. There is also a selection of board games. The cottage does not have wifi but there is a good 4G signal on all networks.

The sunny conservatory has a dining table, benches and chairs and has a beautiful aspect onto the garden.

Bathroom features an Aqualisa power shower and we include soap, shampoo, shower gel and toilet paper for your convenience. Shaving point and a hairdryer are also provided. An ironing board and iron are provided for your use.

The cottage has secure gated access and parking area and features a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living area, sunny conservatory, double bedroom and shower room.

Best of all you get to enjoy watching our pet alpacas in the garden outside! 

If you love animals then Ivy Cottage is the perfect getaway! We have two pet alpacas, Padme and her baby Leia (born on 3rd June 2020!). We also have rescued former battery hens who have the roam of our one acre grounds. 

Paces to visit 

Ivy Cottage is just a ten minute drive to the beautiful village of Hillsborough where guests can explore the castle and grounds or take advantage of the many gastro pubs and eateries in the village. 

The delights of Belfast, including the Titanic Centre, is just a short 20 minute drive, or explore the beautiful Strangford Lough (40 minutes away) or the stunning Mourne Mountains (50 minute drive). 

The stunning Glens of Antrim and the Causeway Coastal route are within an hours drive and the beautiful north coast, with its blue flag beaches, the Giant’s Causeway and the rope bridge are only an hour and a half drive from Ivy Cottage. 

For Game of Thrones fans, Ivy Cottage will provide a great base for exploring many of the key filming locations.
