Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes — Curated Outdoor Experiences in Nature

Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes is an award-winning nature destination set within 18 acres of beautifully landscaped countryside near Ballynahinch, just 25 minutes from Belfast. Our estate is home to scenic pathways, woodland, ponds and over 6,500 trees — creating the perfect setting for premium outdoor experiences that are peaceful, memorable and expertly delivered.

Alpaca Trekking

Our signature Alpaca Trekking is a relaxed guided walk along a private 1.4 km scenic trail through farmland, woodland and wetlands. You’ll cross handcrafted bridges and discover picturesque views while walking with one of our gentle alpacas.

At the end of the trail, enjoy time at our unique island coffee trailer, where you can enjoy barista-quality coffee, tea and delicious traybakes surrounded by nature.

Luxury picnic hampers can be pre-booked as part of your trekking experience for a relaxed alfresco meal at one of our picnic spots along the route.

Golden Hour Alpaca Trekking — Perfect for Date Nights

Our Golden Hour Alpaca Trekking & Luxury Charcuterie Board experience combines the calm beauty of a sunset alpaca walk with an indulgent charcuterie board set against the warm light of the golden hour. Designed exclusively for adults and ideal for couples seeking a romantic outdoor experience, this activity includes:

One alpaca per adult

Guided walk along our scenic trail

A luxury charcuterie board served at our island stop

BYO drinks, with hot and cold options available

This 2-hour adults-only experience is the perfect blend of nature, connection and gourmet indulgence.
