‘Gallery 545: Contemporary Art of Northern Ireland #4’‘ at the ISLAND Arts Centre, Lisburn.

Contemporary Art of Northern Ireland #4’ sees Gallery 545 and the Island Arts Centre collaborating again on their fourth major showcase celebrating art in the region. The exhibition features many accomplished artists working here and an exciting and diverse selection of original artworks.

This major showcase has grown over the years, and this edition presents over twenty artists at different stages of their career who have achieved recognition locally and internationally. They all create art drawing inspiration from a variety of themes and ideas and exploring different materials and techniques.

The many artworks on display reflect the diversity and originality of their practice, with an eclectic selection encompassing vibrant abstract paintings, evocative landscapes, fascinating portraits, unique sculptures, delicate works on paper, and exquisite glass and textile pieces.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover and appreciate the wealth of local talent. Art lovers and collectors could also find the perfect art piece for their space.

The featured artists are Lisa Ballard, Ronan Bowes, Craig Donald, Majella Clancy, Ray Duncan, Emma Fitzpatrick, Spencer Glover, Karl Hagan, Elham Hemmat, Eamonn Higgins, Ashely B. Holmes, Janet Keith, Patricia Kelly, Louise Lennon, Judith Logan, Alison Lowry, Aimee Melaugh, Rosie McGurran, Tracey McVerry, Latisha Reihill, Joel Simon, Katherine St. Angelo, Anushiya Sundaralingam.

All the exhibiting artists are represented by Gallery 545, an online gallery with exhibitions at physical venues specialising in contemporary art of Northern Ireland. This exhibition is curated by Francesca Biondi, Art Director, Gallery 545. It will be accompanied by tours and talks, and details will be published online.
