As Upper Bann MP, David Trimble was First Minister and a Nobel Laureate. He negotiated the Good Friday Agreement in 1998 and helped to secure peace in Northern Ireland. He later sat in the House of Lords as Lord Trimble. A Lisburn resident, he took the title of Lord Trimble of Lisnagarvey.
