Making a very welcome return to the Island, Kimmie Rhodes from Austin, Texas, celebrates her four decades of making music with an intimate solo performance.
With the songs that those years inspired, as well as some new ones, Kimmie shares stories, both poignant and hilarious, and says, “I can't wait to visit friends and fans... fun promised!”
Kimmie was inducted into The West Texas Walk of Fame for her “outstanding contributions in the field of art music and entertainment” last September. Her career has included the release of sixteen solo albums; the writing of many multi-platinum songs recorded by stars including Willie Nelson, Wynonna Judd, Trisha Yearwood, Amy Grant, Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris; and she is an international ambassador for the Buddy Holly Education Foundation.
