About
A homage to the great John Mayall and his famous album John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton. The 1966 album is credited with starting the British blues boom, with Clapton’s playing paving the way for great guitarists, including Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page.
The John Mayall Project, made up of musicians who have played the local rock and blues scene for many years, was formed to pay tribute to John Mayall, the father of British blues.
Inspired by Mayall, Clapton and many of the band’s guitarists, including Peter Greene, Mick Taylor and Gary Moore, the John Mayall Project play the full album.
