About

Would you like to start learning how to make jewellery? Yes! Let's go then…

Come along for a weekend were you will learn a range of beginners skills in making jewellery.

What will you learn?

Day One We will begin with getting to grips with the tools, the workshop and metals. You will make a ring to kick start.

Moving on to making a pair of stud and a pair of long earrings.

Rounding off the first day with making a lovely pendant.

Day Two We begin day 2 by learning how to melt silver and forge it into a ring.

As your jammed packed weekend comes to a close you will learn how to file, sand and polish so that you go away with two rings, two pairs of earrings and a pendant that you have made. (A chain for your pendant is also included).

When is the course?

Saturday 26th July and Sunday 27th July 2025. Beginning at 10am and finishing at 5.30pm both days.

Who is this for?

This course is for complete beginners but all participants must be over 16. It is for a maximum of 6 people so that you have the best tuition experience and access to tools.

What is provided?

Shannon will provide a printed course guide for you to keep.

We will be working in silver for all pieces but you will have copper to practice on as well. You will get to take home all the pieces you have made.

Light refreshments will be provided to keep you going through your lessons. Please bring a packed lunch. We will have a morning and afternoon break as well as 30 minutes for lunch.

Please wear long hair tied up, do not wear open-toed shoes and keep loose-fitting clothing to a minimum.

If you need glasses to see things up close please bring them with you. Making jewellery is rather fiddly!

Please arrive 15 minutes before class begins each day to get settled in.
