In this illustrated talk we shall explore some aspects of everyday life in a period of change and turmoil, and note too, those women who dedicated themselves to the betterment of others of their sex, particularly in the areas of education, work and politics.
Myrtle Hill, formerly Director of Women’s Studies and Senior Lecturer in Queens University Belfast, has published books, articles and chapters on many aspects of the history of Irish social life – including religion, gender, suffrage, Home Rule and women’s experiences more generally.
